Welcome to The Manor Church of England Primary School. We are a warm and welcoming one-form-entry school in Coalpit Heath, with wonderful children and a hugely committed team of staff who work tirelessly to help every child thrive.

Our vision, ‘Aspire, Believe, Achieve,’ lies at the heart of everything we do. We encourage our children to aspire to great things, to believe in themselves and one another, and to develop the knowledge, confidence and determination they need to achieve their full potential. Rooted in our Christian foundation and brought to life through our school values, our vision reflects our ambition for every child to “shine like a star”—recognising their individual strengths, celebrating who they are and using their gifts to make a positive difference in the world.

We provide a broad, rich and engaging curriculum that supports academic achievement while nurturing children’s personal, social, spiritual and emotional development. Our curriculum is shaped by three important drivers: Spirituality and Wellbeing, Community and Service, and Global Citizenship. Through these, we help children develop a strong sense of who they are, care for their own wellbeing and that of others, contribute positively to their community, and grow into thoughtful, compassionate citizens who understand their place in an interconnected world.

Our Successful Learning Gems complement this by helping children recognise the attitudes and learning behaviours they need to become confident, resilient and increasingly independent learners.

Our extensive grounds—including a large playing field, a dedicated Forest School and a purpose-designed outdoor learning environment—give children valuable opportunities to explore nature, develop new skills and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

Partnership and community are extremely important to us. We work closely with parents and carers and value the contribution they make to school life. We are proud to be part of the Bridge family of schools, working collaboratively with colleagues across our partnership to share expertise, strengthen opportunities and achieve the very best for all our children. We also enjoy a strong relationship with St Saviour’s Church and continually seek opportunities for our children to participate in, contribute to and learn from their local community.
