Curriculum Journey Maps

At The Manor, we have created ‘Curriculum Journey Maps’ to illustrate the path that our children take in each subject as they move through our school. The areas of coverage for each year group is mapped out and is used by teachers, children and parents to help them understand the journey they have been on so far, and are going on as they develop as historians or geographers for example.

In each document, we have written a bespoke vision statement. It details the attributes and skills we aspire our children to have as historians or geographers etc. and how their learning at The Manor will support them in their future studies and careers. Along the side of each journey map, we have outlined the threshold concepts (overarching skills) that run through the subject in every year group.
