Sports Premium Funding

 

The PE and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. Government  funding is being provided jointly by the Departments for Education and Culture, Media and Sport. 

 

Allocation and Funding

 

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6 as recorded in the January school census.

Purpose of Funding

 

Schools must use the funding to improve the provision and quality of PE and sport on offer to their pupils; Headteachers are free to choose the best way of using this money.
